Steve Newton

Owner / Journeyman Carpenter

In addition to twenty years of experience in construction, Steve also has a wide array of experience, from certified automotive technician to audio expert, bringing a unique and strong set of abilities to any job site. Prompt and professional with a keen eye for detail, Steve's top priority is your satisfaction.

Steve has worked coast to coast, but he says, "The San Juan Mountains are spectacular and the history of Colorado is of particular interest to me, as I am an avid fan of the Gold Rush era, and it’s been incredibly interesting discovering ghost towns of that time right in my own backyard. Ultimately, my passion is in the craftsmanship of the Gold Rush era and I enjoy holding myself to these same types of standards."

Steve has worked on all types of projects but some of his most notable projects include:

  • Complete renovation of historic 1890’s farmhouse
  • Restoration of 1936 Art Deco house, including the addition of a vaulted ceiling
  • Incorporated metal work into several projects, including custom railing and a hanging bed
  • Hung 14’ solid mahogany doors in a wedding chapel
  • Finish carpenter for the  National Historic Landmark, Mar-a-lago

Steve's clients consistently say that his work exceeds expectations, with one client exclaiming, "I knew it would be nice, but I didn't think it would be THIS nice!"
